EDGE BENDING OF PLATES WITH TRUMPF MACHINES
A particularly important area of sheet metal machining is CNC edge bending. Using this technology, even the most complex edge bending tasks can be solved. The accuracy of edge-bent plates is of paramount importance, as the parts must fit exactly to the other elements of the often very complex and intricate welded structures. We mainly use Trumpf CNC edge bending machines for cold forming laser cut sheets. TruBend machines are outstanding in edge bending technology, with solutions such as ABC protractors, bend tracking systems, automatic chasing, lower tool offset, separately controllable 4-cylinder electrohydraulic top drive, and more. Trumpf edge bending machines are designed for continuous operation at full load. All functions of offline programming are available directly in the machine control. Thanks to high productivity, bending can be carried out economically, which can be achieved primarily through the use of high axis and working speed, minimum tooling time and automatic tool clamping systems. Stable machine frames result in a high degree of accuracy. The built-in CNC chasing continuously guarantees the accuracy of the angles.
